I am a physician and clinical leader at Mayo Clinic and am involved with Metriana, a Mayo Clinic business venture focused on metabolic health. These professional roles influence the questions I encounter and the perspectives I bring to this publication, but Headwaters is not an official publication or marketing channel of either organization.

When I write about a company, product, research collaboration, or other subject for which I have a relevant professional or financial relationship, I will disclose that relationship when it is material to the discussion.
